Gerald A. Ketcham, 92, of Yadkinville, NC; husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021 after an extended illness.
He was born on January 8, 1929 on Long Island, NY and he retired at age 62 to Calabash, NC, where he enjoyed golfing with his brother and friends. Gerald is preceded in death by his son, Gerald Ketcham, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Louise, his beloved children, Cory Wakulinski, Larry Ketcham, and Crystal Marcellas, his stepchildren, Leslie Henn, William Walsh, and Stephanie Buckman, and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. His family was by his side during his last days. He will be greatly missed.
Gerald, or Jerry, as he was called by his friends, had a great sense of humor and was always in good spirits, even during his illness. He was very special to so many.
The family would like to thank all who provided support for him during his illness and to Trellis Home of Hospice of Winston-Salem for the kindness, compassion, and loving care they provided in his final days.
Jerry dedicated his life to Jehovah God in baptism, in July of 1974. He was a member of the Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Yadkinville. His hope was to see Revelation 21:3, 4 fulfilled. He looked forward to a time when no one will ever experience sickness and death again, and he shared that hope with others.
Davie Funeral & Cremation of Yadkinville are honored to serve the family.
