Jennifer Marie (Messer) James

   Jennifer Marie (Messer) James, 39, of Statesville, NC, passed away, unexpectedly, on January 6, 2022, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Lexington.

   Jennifer was born on December 28, 1982, in Huntington, WV.  She was the daughter of Jimmie Carson Messer and Elizabeth Michelle Petersen.  Jennifer was preceded in death by her grandfather, Junior Clark Messer, uncles, Bobby Messer, Clark Messer, and Jimmie Dale Messer, and one aunt, Theresa Maria Robinette.

   In life, Jennifer attended school in the Iredell County school system.  She later, went on to have three beautiful children, Joshua Burchette, Jordan Burchette, and Tiara James, all of whom survive her. She was a loving mother, daughter, cousin and friend. She was of the Baptist faith and loved her family. In addition to her children, Jennifer is survived by a brother, Jimmie Ray Edwards, a half-sister, Vickie Sue Edwards, a grandmother, Norma Messer, two uncles, Buck and Roger Dale Messer, and two aunts, Leona Miller and Olena Gill Bustie.

   Service arrangements for Jennifer are incomplete at this time.
