Timothy Darrell Hodges

      Timothy “Tim” Darrell Hodges, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, entered his heavenly home on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, after a brief stay at Novant Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC, at age 58. 

   Tim was born on March 14, 1963, at Forsyth Medical Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. He was the last of three children, all boys, born to the late Eugene Tilton Hodges and Ruby Mae (Hauser) Hodges. 

   In life, Tim graduated from Forsyth Technical Community College with an associate degree and worked as a tractor builder with Gravely International for a short time before retiring. Tim married his devoted wife, Susan Lynn (Mahone) Hodges, on May 27, 1989, in Kerwin, NC. Together they had one son, Darrell Eugene Hodges. 

   Tim loved his God and never missed the opportunity to tell you that “Jesus loves you!” Tim was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Mocksville, NC where he previously served as an usher and youth director before he became paralyzed in an automobile accident. 

   Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Ruby Hodges. He is survived by his loving wife Susan Lynn (Mahone) Hodges; his only son, Darrell Eugene Hodges and wife, Carrie; grandson Draven Eli Hodges and granddaughter Aria Mae Hodges; brothers Willis Gregory Hodges (Sonia), and Dennis Dwight Hodges; nephew Eric Hodges (Kristina), niece Stephanie Murray (Ken), and nephew Pierce “Tylor” Hodges (Stacey); and many great-nieces and nephews. 

   A memorial service for Tim will be held at Church of God of Prophecy on Sunday, March 13, beginning at 3 pm.
